We have been quoted in an article in The Jewish Chronicle, in reference to the Government announcing it will not be taking forward Law Commission plans to liberalise domestic surrogacy law.
Although not approached directly to provide a quote, the JC mentioned our campaign and some of our reasons for opposing the Law Commission plans.
We would remind readers that gestational surrogacy is 3x higher risk for severe pregnancy complications, including sepsis, pre-eclampsia and postpartum haemorrhage, and that babies bond with their mothers in utero. We do not support any form of surrogacy and believe the practice to be profoundly unethical and exploitative.
