On Friday 7 February 2025, our Founder Helen Gibson, was interviewed by the BBC journalist Adam Fleming, for the Radio 4 programme ‘AntiSocial’, which looks at topical current affairs issues. Helen discussed how surrogacy in the UK works, our opposition to it, and our concerns about Law Commission plans to relax the law. We are glad to see surrogacy moving up the news agenda, and more people openly discussing the possibility of a ban on the practice, which we support. Following news about a well known celebrity having a child with a surrogate mother last weekend, surrogacy has dominated the news cycle for the past week.
